  16. <p>     Customs: American citizens do not need visas to enter
  17. Botswana. They may stay for up to 90 days without a residence
  18. permit.
  19. </p>
  20. <p>     Health: Botswana's climate is basically healthful, and
  21. tapwater is potable in the major towns. Seek advice before
  22. swimming in lakes or rivers, in wich bilharzia (causing
  23. schistosomiasis) is prevalent. Hepatitis is a problem in urban
  24. areas.

  26. <p>     Transportation: Botswana is served by air from Johannesburg,
  27. South Africa; Nairobi, Kenya by Kenya Air and Air Botswana;
  28. London England by British Airways; Paris, France by UTA;
  29. Lusaka, Zambia and Harare, Zimbabwe, by Air Botswana, Air
  30. Zimbabwe, Royal Swazi Arlines, and Zambia Airways. Rental cars
  31. are available in Gaborone and other major towns. Traffic moves
  32. on the left.

  34. <p>     Tourist attractions: Roughly 16% of the land has been
  35. designated as national parks or game reserves, and Botswana's
  36. Chobe National Park and Moremi Wildlife Reserve are considered
  37. superb in terms of wildlife and setting. The Okavango Delta also
  38. is a major tourist area. Hotel facilities are comfortable in all
  39. major centers.

  41. <p>     National holidays: Business establishments and the US Embassy
  42. may be closed on the following holidays:
